Being Sick Sucks

I feel like a huge part of this blog is sarcasm. I realize that I have a very sarcastic view of life which can be a little depressing sometimes. Mostly, though, it's just a lot more amusing. However, being sick sucks the sarcasm right out of me. I have absolutely no idea what I have. Side note: I am going to be the worst (least compliant) pharmacist in all of history. I refuse to go to the doctor & can't even swallow pills. I try to hold off on medicine as long as I possibly can. I usually go an entire migraine without ever taking anything for it. Yet my career is based completely on helping patients improve their quality of life WITH medicine.

That's another fun thing about being sick, the fever makes you CRAZY. My thoughts are all over the place and I can't really focus on anything. Now that I've forgotten where I was going with any of this, I'll leave you all with this: ROCK CHALK BEAT CU! And now I'll get back to cheering on my (struggling) Hawks.

Where's The Instruction Manual??

Since Blogger decided to be AWESOME yesterday and delete my *entire* post, it's mini blog time!

I realized today that I lost my instruction manual. Actually, I'm not sure I ever found it in the first place. Which instruction manual am I talking about? Why, the one for life, of course!

You see, I'm trying to figure out when it's the right time to buy my first house. I feel like I'm ready but at the same time, I'm definitely not ready. As far as advantages go, it would be great to be completely independent and not have to ask a (dick of a) landlord permission for everything I do in regards to where I live, the mortgage would most likely be lower than my current rent, I'd be more likely to find exactly what we're looking for, and I could get another dog. :) On the downside, I'd most likely require a co-signer thanks to student loans, owing that much money is SCARY AS HELL, and I'd be stuck with a house instead of bound by a leasing contract. So, when I'm unsure about most things, I just go back and reference an instruction manual to figure it out. So why the heck doesn't life have a "how to" section? There would definitely be a section on "the right time to..." that could help me figure out this problem.

Instead of continuing my search for the manual, I'll just take a poll. Is 24 too soon to buy your first house?
